Juneau

The second group arrived safely in Juneau! We went through Seattle on the way to Juneau and were able to grab lunch at the airport in Seattle. In Juneau we were greeted warmly by Wayne, Dave, and Steve who drove us to Faith Lutheran.

After settling in at Faith Lutheran we then went to the nearby Mendenhall Glacier in Juneau. The Tlingit Indians originally named the glacier Aak’wtaaksit, which means “the Glacier Behind the Little Lake”. The scenery was amazing.

We wrapped up the day with a great supper at Faith Lutheran.

This sign below is in the lobby of the church.

Psalm 105:4 Look to the Lord and his strength; seek his face always.

Tomorrow we pack up our supplies and board the ferry for Kake. Please pray for more safe travels.
